Jodamajra came in the eyes of Kejriwal with boldness: wages abroad, campaigning from friend’s car; shot bullets to save the girl

Chetan Singh Jaudamajra, who became MLA from Samana seat of Patiala district, has become the new minister of the Punjab government. He took oath on Monday evening at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh. His success story is full of struggle. Jaudamajra went abroad and worked in the factory. Came back and got your ticket, then campaigned in friend’s car. After which he became an MLA. Earlier, he had even put his life in danger to save a girl from kidnapping. With this boldness, he came in the eyes of Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Father died in 4 years
Joudamajra’s life was very struggling. When he was 4 years old, his father passed away. My elder brother Pritpal Singh Jaudamajra used to study in 6th standard, he left his studies and got the solution. Took responsibility for the family. His family had a very difficult time.

went abroad and worked in a factory
Seeing the struggling situation of the family, Jaudamajra went abroad like other Punjabis. In 1999, he went to South Korea and worked in the factory. He worked as a daily wage earner in a construction factory. He himself tells that our financial condition was such that we could not even buy a scooter.

Friend gave the car, oil also belongs to him
Jodamajra himself tells that during the election campaign the tire of my car had burst. My friend Neeta Cheema gave me her Scorpio. That’s where I contested the election. The day I got the ticket, the friend gave the car. The same oil kept pouring in. In the campaign other friends gave their vehicles and they also got oil poured. I didn’t have any money.

Saved the girl’s life by risking her life
Jaudamajra tells that in 2019 he had gone to pay obeisance to Harmandir Sahib and Tarn Taran Sahib. From there they were returning in the bus. He saw that 6 boys in the belt are forcibly putting a girl in the car. There were 200-250 people standing there. I also made videos like others but then thought that these boys will take the girl.

When I tried to rescue the girl, the boy took out the pistol. He threatened to kill him. I rescued the girl but she shot me 2 bullets. I thought my arm was cut. Then I got treated at Patti, Tarn Taran and Amritsar. Then I was thinking that death had passed so near. What would happen to my children, but was satisfied with saving the girl’s life.
