The accused Shahrukh, who is a laborer by profession, does the work of installing tiles etc. in the houses, he was unilaterally in love with a 19-year-old girl student living in his neighbourhood. When he expressed his love for the girl, he turned down her proposal. The accused got annoyed by this behavior of the student. After this he started looking for an opportunity to take revenge on her. On Tuesday morning, seeing the opportunity, when the girl student was sleeping in her house, she sprinkled petrol on her from the window and set her on fire.

The reason given by the student
In a statement given to an executive magistrate, the student said that the accused called her on her mobile about 10 days ago and instigated her to be friends. After this, despite her refusal, the accused called her again on Monday night around 8 pm and said that if I do not talk to her, she will kill me. I told my father about the threat after which he assured me that he would talk to the family members of the accused on Tuesday. After this everyone went to sleep and it happened on Tuesday morning. The girl said that she saw the accused running away. He told that his parents put out the fire and took him to the hospital.
