A self-styled sub-zonal commander of the Third Conference Presentation Committee (TSPC) and six other members of the banned outfit have been arrested from Chatra district. The police gave this information on Tuesday.
He said that a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was also recovered from their possession. TSPC sub-zonal commander Anup G alias Chhota Ram, wanted in several cases of extortion, terror funding and murder, was arrested along with other members from Piparwar police station area, about 100 km from capital Ranchi, on Monday, police said.
Chatra SP Rakesh Ranjan said, a special task force (STF) was formed to track and nab the Maoists.
