An elderly man died in a road accident in Ranchi on Sunday. It is being told that the Hiva truck hit the scooty. The accident happened near Kesha Mor on Ranchi-Gumla main road in Bedo police station area.
The scooty rider died on the spot in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Jamaruddin Ansari. He was around 65 years old. After the incident, the dead body of the elderly lay lying in the middle of the road for a long time.
Local people told that the aged scooty rider was a resident of Karanji Zara Toli of Bedo police station. He was returning home in his car. Meanwhile, Hiva took Scooty in its grip. After the incident, the highway driver fled the spot with the vehicle. On receiving information about the incident, the police station in-charge reached the spot and took the dead body in possession and sent it for post-mortem.
