Rain is wreaking havoc in Jharkhand. A news is coming from Palamu and Hazaribagh districts, where six children drowned in heavy rain on Sunday. The police informed about the incident. He told that four children aged 10 to 12 years had gone to bathe in the stagnant water in the afternoon in the vacant graphite mine in Satbarwa police station area in Palamu.

Police said that as soon as one child started drowning, two others jumped to save him and all drowned. The deceased have been identified as Aman, Afsar and Akhtar, residents of Gora village.
The bodies of the three children were recovered with the help of local divers and sent to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital for postmortem, Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha said. He said that one of the surviving children informed the villagers, following which the bodies were found.

Parts of Jharkhand have received heavy rains, causing water logging in the mine. Three children drowned while bathing in Rehda Dam near BSF Training Center and School at Meru in Hazaribagh. The children, aged 12 to 13, have been identified as Anshu Raj, Devesh Kumar and Raghu Rajak. Police said they were sons of BSF jawans.
