Jharkhand High Court summons DGP in Ankita murder case: Orders to protect the family; Murder case registered after 3 days

Jharkhand High Court has taken cognizance of Ankita’s death. The court summoned the DGP and ordered to provide security to Ankita’s family. Three days after the death of Ankita of Dumka, Jharkhand, the police have registered a case of murder. Earlier, the police had registered a case under sections of molestation. Here the team of forensic science and finger print experts reached Dumka and collected samples from Ankita’s house.

Sandeep Kumar, an officer who came to investigate, said that the team has come from Ranchi and it is being investigated scientifically. The evidence collected here will be submitted to the investigation report of the department.

Here, independent MLA from Jamshedpur, Saryu Rai said that such an accused should be shot at the Chowk intersection.

Ankita from Dumka, Jharkhand wanted death penalty for her convict Shahrukh. In the statement given before death, she said – The way I am dying because of him, she should also be punished the same way. When the reporter asked – do you want this, he said – yes.

Ankita narrated the whole story of the incident in front of the camera. At 10 pm, he told his father about the threat of Shahrukh. Papa said that let’s see in the morning. Ankita was burnt alive before dawn. At around 4 in the morning, Shahrukh poured petrol from the window and burnt it. Ankita had told that she had also seen by opening the window, there was another boy Chhotu with Shahrukh.

SIT will investigate
SIT has been constituted under the chairmanship of SP in the Ankita murder case. Giving information, ADG ML Meena said that SP will monitor it in view of the seriousness of the matter. So far 2 accused have been arrested. The investigation is going on in the case from all angles.

10-member team reached to investigate
A 10-member investigation team led by CID DSP Sandeep Kumar Gupta reached Ankita’s house in Dumka. The team includes members from CID, Forensic and Finger Print Bureau

Shahrukh had set it on fire by pouring petrol from the window.
On August 23, Ankita was sleeping in her house in Dumka’s Jaruwadih locality. Then at around 5 pm, Shahrukh Hussain, a neighbor, poured petrol from the window and set it on fire. He died after five days of treatment.

Shahrukh was troubling for 2 years
Shahrukh was harassing Ankita for 2 years. Pressing for friendship. Ankita had also complained about this to her father, but due to fear of slander, he did not take any further steps. After this, when Shahrukh started troubling more, he went to complain to the police, but Shahrukh’s elder brother apologized. Said he would no longer do this. After a few days of calm, his movements started again. For the last 15 days, he was troubling Ankita too much.

SDPO Noor Mustafa removed from investigation
SDPO Noor Mustafa, surrounded by allegations of bias in the Ankita murder case, has been removed from the investigation of the case. Mustafa was being accused of protecting Shahrukh. On the other hand, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has demanded registration of a murder case under 302 against the culprits.

Demonstrations in many districts after death
After the death of Ankita Singh, there were demonstrations not only in Dumka, but also in other districts of the state including Ranchi and Giridih. In Dumka, many social organizations including Bajrang Dal, BJP took to the streets and demonstrated in protest. At the same time, social organizations also demonstrated in front of Firayalal Chowk in Ranchi and Bapu Vatika in Morabadi. The outrage of this incident was also seen in Giridih.

Ankita Singh was the middle of three siblings. The elder sister is married, while the younger brother of 12 years is currently studying. Ankita wanted to become an IPS. The financial condition of his family is not good. Father works as a salesman in a biscuit company. There are grandparents in the family. His mother died last year.
