JEE Main 2024 Session 2 in April, Exam City Slip to Be Released Soon – News18

The JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exam is slated to be held in April. This year, more than 11 lakh students had applied for the session 1 examination whereas for the JEE Main session 2 exam, around 12 lakhs have registered. It will be conducted by the NTA or the National Testing Agency. The agency will release the JEE Main Session 2 exam city slip soon on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. Once issued, candidates will get information about the JEE Main exam centre through the city slip. With this, they can plan their journey by booking tickets, if required, in advance.

NTA has made JEE Main Session 2 schedule keeping in mind the 12th board exam. Due to a clash with the CBSE board exam 2024, the session 2 dates were changed earlier. It will be held between April 4 to April 15, 2024, in two shifts. The first shift exam will be held from 9 am to noon. Whereas, the second shift examination will be conducted between 3 pm to 6 pm.

Students preparing for JEE Main should know the difference between exam city slips and admit cards. The exam city slip is issued only for information about the exam city. It cannot be used as an admit card. JEE Main Admit Card 2024 will be released a few days before the exam. Entry will not be allowed inside the examination center without the admit card.

It is necessary to pass the JEE Main exam for admission to engineering institutes like IIIT, NIT, etc. Those who rank in the top 2.5 lakh of JEE Main are eligible next to appear for the JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to the IITs.The registration process for JEE Advanced 2024 is slated to begin on April 30, and the exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 4.
