The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 session 2 exam dates. The second session of JEE Main which was scheduled to take place from April 1 will now begin on April 4. The exam will end on April 15.

The registration process for the exam has already begun. Candidates who are eligible and interested can apply on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. “Those candidates who have not applied earlier, need to apply afresh as per the schedule given,” reads the official notice.

“The candidates who have applied and successfully paid the Examination Fee for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 1 and wish to appear for JEE (Main) – 2024 Session 2, are required to log in with their previous Application Number and Password as provided in Session 1. They may only choose the Paper, Medium of the Examination, State code of Eligibility, Cities for Session 2, educational qualification details, and pay the Examination Fees,” reads the official notice.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Select the registration link for JEE Main 2024 session 2 from the homepage.

Step 3: Fill out the registration form and click the Submit button.

Step 4: Pay the application fees.

Step 5: Download the registration form and take a print out for further use.

Meanwile, the JEE Main 2024 session 1 concluded on February 1. NTA conducted the exam in about 544 centres in 291 cities, including 21 cities outside India. The number of registered candidates for the first session is about 12,31,874, which is about 27 per cent higher in comparison to last year. The number of cities and centres also increased where the examination was conducted. The attendance across the Country was 95.8 per cent for Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech.) which is one of the highest percentages of attendance for JEE (Main) since NTA started the conduct of examination, the agency said.
