The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the Joint Entrance Examination Main, JEE Main 2024 session 1 registration process today, November 30. Candidates interested and eligible can apply on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The exam will be held from January 24 to February 1.

Candidates who qualify for admission in the NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs must have secured at least 75 per cent marks in the Class 12 examination or are in the top 20 percentile in the examination conducted by respective boards. In the case of SC, ST candidates, a score of around 65 per cent in the class 12 examination is necessary. In addition to that, candidates are also required to pass in each of the subjects of the Class 12 examination.

JEE Main 2024 Registration: Documents Required

— Scanned image of the signature of the candidate.

— Scanned image of passport-size photo.

— Category certificate (if applicable).

— Person with Disabilities (PWD) certificate (if applicable).

— Identity proof like an Aadhaar card, bank passbook photo, or ration card.

JEE Main 2024: How to Apply

Step 1: Go to the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Select the registration link for JEE Main 2024 session 1 from the homepage.

Step 3: Fill out the registration form and click the Submit button.

Step 4: Pay the application fees.

Step 5: Download the registration form and take a print out for further use.

There are two papers in JEE Main 2024: paper 1 and paper 2. JEE Main paper 2 is held for admission to BArch and BPlanning courses, whereas JEE Main paper 1 is held for entrance to BE and BTech programmes at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and other institutions or universities.

Those who want to apply for both sessions (January and April), will need to pay the fees for two papers and submit the application accordingly. For those opting to appear only in the April session, the application window runs from February 2 to March 2. The admit card for JEE Main 2024 session 1 will made available three days prior to the exam while the result will be declared on February 12.
