A sensational news has come out from Lakhimpur Kheri. Here a lineman of the electricity department was seeking transfer, but the junior engineer (JE) put a shameful condition in front of him. JE said that the transfer will happen only when he hands over his wife to her.
This condition hurt the lineman so much that he came home and poured diesel and set himself on fire. The family took him to Lakhimpur. From where he was referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre. He died on Sunday. But before dying, the lineman has given a statement against JE.
The lineman alleges that JE and his touts are demanding my wife in return for the transfer. I had also complained to the police station by giving the number, but nothing happened. At present the entire family of the deceased is in Lucknow. No complaint has been given to the police yet. However, DM Mahendra Bahadur Singh has taken cognizance of the video and recommended suspension of accused JE. He has also been directed to initiate a departmental inquiry against him.
Before death, the lineman has given a statement against JE.
Deployment was 50 km away, wanted a job near home
Gokul Yadav (45 years), a resident of Palia in Lakhimpur, was a lineman in the electricity department. He is a resident of Palia. But his posting was in Aliganj, 50 km away from home for a year. Earlier posted in Dhampur. There he was identified with JE. Gokul was troubled for a long time regarding the family. That’s why he wanted his transfer. He talked to many officers for this, but his demand was not fulfilled.
After that he talked to his JE. JE took the responsibility of getting the transfer done. But what he asked for in return was unbearable for Gokul. JE told him that you send your wife for one night for me and my companions, after that you will get transferred. After which Gokul came back. He complained about this to the police, but no action was taken.
Gokul set himself on fire by sprinkling diesel on himself late in the evening at his Palia house. The family members took him to Lakhimpur late at night. From where he was sent to Lucknow when his condition became critical. Where Gokul died around 6 o’clock in the morning.
CO said – no one has come to register the case yet
In the matter, Palia’s CO Sanjay Nath Tiwari said that till now no one has come from the family to register a case. We are also searching for the family members. As soon as any complaint comes, we will take immediate action.
