In Kurukshetra, Haryana, after talks between the farmers and the government failed, they blocked the Jammu-Delhi National Highway-44 near Pipli. Farmers have closed the flyover and service road and are sitting on the highway with sticks. Tractors have been parked on the highway. The police have diverted the routes of the vehicles due to the jam.

There will be a meeting of farmers again on Tuesday morning. Although he has given an ultimatum to the government till 10 pm.

Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said – “It was decided in the MSP mahapanchayat in Peepli grain market that we will keep the highway closed until our demands are met.” Therefore, the units of all the states should keep an eye on Kurukshetra till advance notice and wait for the next order, this oppressive policy of the government will not be tolerated by the food provider of the country.

A meeting of farmer leaders was held under the leadership of Rakesh Tikait regarding the jam. After this, Tikait said that the highway will remain blocked till the release of farmer leaders and MSP on sunflower.

Earlier, the farmer leaders said that talks have been held with the administration twice. He assured to talk to CM in Karnal but then said that he has left. It is clear that the government is not serious about the whole matter. That’s why be beaten with sticks or sent to jail, now the highway will be jammed.

‘MSP Dilao-Kisan Bachao Rally’ was held regarding the farmers’ sunflower. Apart from Haryana, thousands of farmers reached from Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and UP. Farmers are demanding the release of MSP and farmer leader Gurnam Chadhuni and other leaders on Sunflower.

Know what is this whole controversy?
The Haryana government had announced that it would buy sunflower under the Bhavantar scheme. In which the government compensates for the loss incurred in the purchase at the market rate. But, farmers are demanding purchase on MSP. Talks were held with the government regarding this, but it failed. After this, on June 6, the farmers blocked the Jammu-Delhi National Highway.

Meanwhile, the police brought the order of the High Court and asked to open the jam in 15 minutes. When the farmer did not agree, the police lathi-charged fiercely. Farmers were chased and beaten. Other leaders including police farmer leader Gurnam Chadhuni were taken into custody. During this, there were allegations of stone pelting from the side of the farmers as well. Although the police managed to open the highway late in the evening.

Farmers got angry after taking the leaders into custody. On June 7, it was announced to block roads in entire Haryana. According to the announcement, the farmers blocked the road. performed at the toll plaza. Many farmers were taken into custody on this day also, but they were released in the evening. There was a clash between the farmers and the police in Rohtak.

On the same day, nine farmer leaders including Gurnam Singh Chadhuni were presented by the police in the Kurukshetra District Court. Everyone in the court refused to take bail. After this all were sent to jail in judicial custody for 14 days.

After this, a panchayat was held in Shahabad of Kurukshetra regarding the release of farmer leaders and MSP. In which farmer organizations took the decision of Mahapanchayat in Pipli on 12th June.

Rakesh Tikait said in the rally – “The farmers raised their voice on the MSP and they got sticks. The question is not about MSP on just one crop. The government declares the rate but does not buy on it. There should be MSP guarantee law. There will be agitations for this law in the coming times. There is a gun guarding the pen and camera in the country.

Chadhuni’s mistake was only that he asked for MSP. Haryana government should release the farmers soon. No one can suppress the farmer s’ movement with sticks. If a farmer is hit with a stick, the farmers of the whole country will gather.

Women State President of BKU Chadhuni Group Suman Hooda said that the government has descended on dictatorship. Farmers are going to start the movement to get MSP from Pipli’s land and save the farmers today. This is the land of Kurukshetra from where Mahabharata started.

The previous farmer’s movement was also started from Pipli. When farmer leader Gurnam Singh visited Chadhuni’s jail, Hooda said that Chadhuni has prepared every farmer as a commander. The government should not be under any misunderstanding.
