It was Maltidevi’s wish that the last journey after death should be joyful. The family members of 112-year-old Maltidevi took part in the funeral procession while playing DJ. At the same time, the residents of the whole village joined in this final procession.
It is learned that Malti Sarkar was a resident of Dubragachh area of Panikauri area in Rajganj of Jalpaiguri. According to her last wish after her death, the band party was on the last journey of Malti Devi. As well as DJO. Family members carried the body on their shoulders. At the end of the body, relatives of Malati Devi and the residents of the neighborhood went to dance. Neighbors and relatives took the body away while dancing to the beat of the band party. Although such a scene was unusual on the last journey, it happened in Rajganj of Jalpaiguri. The last farewell was said to Maltidevi while rejoicing.
