Situation dangerous in many parts of East Ladakh
Jaishankar described the current India-China relationship as challenging. Jaishankar said that the situation on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh remains very critical. Due to the close deployment of troops of both India and China in some areas, the situation is quite dangerous.

However, the External Affairs Minister also said that progress has been made in the process of disengagement in many areas. Jaishankar further said – You cannot show that everything is normal by violating agreements. China violated the earlier agreements. We have made it clear that we will not tolerate violation of agreements.

Responding to a question on Prime Minister Modi’s role in ending the Russia-Ukraine war, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, ‘You can never predict in the real world. I was met by the Prime Minister of Ukraine when I was in New York. During this, he discussed the issue of nuclear plant. This question is still open, but whenever we get a chance, we will try to help.
