Seema Haider, a name that is being discussed in both India and Pakistan. New claims related to the border are also being made on social media. Some are calling Seema a spy, while some are raising doubts about her being a Muslim.
There is another similar claim related to Seema that she is actually not Seema but Major Samia Rehman of Pakistan Army and has come to India with a special purpose. We fact-checked this claim and found out how much truth is in it.

How true is this claim related to the border?
One related to Seema Haider case ground report It was published by Dainik Bhaskar on 13 July. bhaskar reporter Sandhya Dwivedi had spoken to Ghulam Haider, Seema’s husband living in Saudi Arabia. Ghulam Haider not only narrated the story of his marriage to Seema, but also shared the legal documents.
Apart from the marriage certificate of the court, there is also an affidavit. In this affidavit, Seema has confessed to running away from home and marrying Ghulam. Along with this, he has described his father and mother as greedy.

Leaving my father-mother’s house, 10 days ago I came to the house of Amir Jan Jakharani of Garhi Khairo, District Jacobabad. Here I have done a contract marriage with Ameer Jan’s son Ghulam Haider.
I swear that I have written this affidavit without any pressure or fear. It has the signatures of both Ghulam Haider and Seema Raza.
At the same time, Bhaskar also has the family registration document of Seema and her family made in Pakistan. This document was made in the name of Seema.

During investigation, we also found a BBC Hindi report, in which Seema Haider’s house in Karachi has been shown where she used to live till sometime back. The report also contains the statement of the landlord, in whose house Seema Haider used to live on rent.
