This comes in the wake of Ritika Sajdeh’s sensational comment on an interview featuring Mumbai Indians’ coach Mark Boucher. Mumbai Indians (MI) recently appointed former Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Hardik Pandya as the team’s captain, replacing senior opener Rohit Sharma, a move that left cricket fans divided. Boucher’s clarification on the matter drew criticism from Ritika and others.
In a podcast, Mark Boucher addressed the decision to replace Rohit Sharma as Mumbai Indians (MI) captain, citing the senior opener’s recent performance with the bat for the franchise as a concern. Boucher suggested that relieving Rohit of the captaincy might enable him to focus more on his batting and contribute more effectively in that capacity.
Reacting to the clip of the podcast posted on social media, Rohit Sharma’s wife commented, “There are many things wrong in this,” indicating her disagreement with Boucher’s remarks. Seeing Ritika’s comment, Mumbai Indians deleted the post.
Now, four days later, Rohit Sharma has taken to Instagram to express his gratitude to his wife, thanking her for standing by him through all circumstances. “Always by my side”, Rohit wrote in the caption of his Insta post, featuring himself and Ritika.
