Infiltrator caught on Punjab border: Pakistan was trying to enter the Indian border at night; BSF caught

Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have foiled an infiltration attempt late night at the Amritsar border in Punjab. According to the information received, the infiltration took place near Rajatal BOP of Amritsar. At present, the intruder has been caught and the investigation is on. The caught infiltrator is claiming himself to be from Bangladesh.

The soldiers of BSF Battalion 144 were on patrol in Rajatal village of Amritsar, Punjab. That’s why they saw movement from Pakistan side. After stopping for some time, the jawans saw a person entering the Indian border. The jawans challenged him and fired in an attempt to stop him. After which the person tried to hide himself. On this the jawans swung into action and caught the intruder.

Custodial interrogation continues
BSF jawans have started interrogation after catching the intruder. The accused has identified himself as Bangladeshi. At present BSF officials are not sharing more details about the apprehended infiltrator.

Heroin seized in Tarn Taran
A consignment of heroin was brought in from Pakistan by a smuggler at Rajoke’s Indo-Pak border in Tarn Taran, Punjab. The incident happened at 5 in the morning. Vigilant BSF opened fire and the smuggler fled from the spot leaving behind the heroin consignment. The recovered consignment is said to be above 1 kg.
