Indore Boy Lands Rs 1.13 Crore Job After Doing M.Tech From This College – News18

He previously interned in CRED and Greendeck while pursuing M.Tech.

In May 2023, Saahil Ali bagged a job at a company in the Netherlands and is currently working there.

When it comes to placements with packages in crores, people immediately think of IITs and IIMs because these institutions are renowned for securing such salaries. However, now students from various universities and colleges, apart from these institutions, are also achieving record-breaking packages. This year, a student secured a job offer of more than Rs 1 crore from a foreign company after studying at a State University in Indore.

Saahil Ali pursued a 5-year integrated M.Tech course from the International Institute of Professional Studies at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore. During the placement session held in January this year, a company from the Netherlands offered him a job with a package of Rs 1.13 crore.

Record-breaking Moment For Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya

The Rs 1.13 crore package offered to Saahil is the highest package ever received by a student at this university. The previous record was Rs 63 lakh. Saahil’s achievement brought immense joy to everyone at the university, including the Vice-Chancellor and all the faculty and staff. He worked hard to secure this package, having undertaken internships at several places before placement, strengthening his basics. Saahil’s success proves that there’s no need to run towards IITs and IIMs for good packages. Instead, it’s essential to work on one’s skills, and companies will come after you.

Saahil dedicated this achievement to his parents and the teachers who guided him. He also stated that he had been preparing for placement interviews for a long time and his efforts finally paid off when he got the job offer from Adyen in the Netherlands. According to his LinkedIn profile, he currently works as a Software Engineer at Adyen in Amsterdam. He previously worked with CRED as an intern along with other internships offered by Python Software Foundation and Greendeck.

His LinkedIn bio states that he has always been passionate towards problem-solving. In the bio, Saahil wrote, “My passion lies in solving business problems with tailored data and algorithms and communicating complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders. I can jump across verticals to deliver high-performing solutions.”
