A parent from Gujarat living in Germany has been yearning to caress their daughter for 10 months. Dhara Shah’s 7-month-old daughter, originally from Gujarat, was bleeding from her private part due to some injury. When Dhara saw blood in the daughter’s diaper, she immediately reached the hospital with the daughter. The hospital authorities initially refused treatment, saying the injury was common in children. Dhara brought the daughter home, but the same problem persisted on the second day, so Dhara again reached the hospital. Meanwhile, the hospital staff informed the child protection officers about it. The authorities handed over the girl to the German Child Protection Authority on suspicion of sexual abuse with the girl. However, the medical examination revealed that there was no sexual abuse with the girl.
The daughter was born in February 2021.
Authority is now seeking certificate of ‘fit to be parents’
After this the authority refused to give the custody of the daughter saying that you will have to first produce a certificate of fit to be parents. Dhara and Bhavesh have so far attended two sessions of the Legal Authority. But, the legal process of ‘fit to be parents’ is not over yet.

Dhara’s parents had come to meet the granddaughter. During this, the daughter was hurt and this accident separated the daughter from the family.

‘My daughter is only 17 months old. After all, what is his fault in that he is being punished. What would be more sad for us than this that in spite of us, the daughter is living life like an orphan. Far from loving her for the past 10 months, we haven’t even been given a chance to catch a glimpse of her. He needs mother’s milk, needs our pampering and caress. But, like an orphan, she is in the custody of the German Child Protection Authority.
Can’t meet despite being in the same country?
