Virat Kohli, on Tuesday, September 20, caught up with former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh ahead of India’s first T20I against Australia at PCA Stadium in Mohali.

The official Twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) uploaded a picture where Kohli can be seen carefully listening to what Yuvraj was saying.

Kohli was also seen making some gestures with his hands and speaking to Yuvraj, also the Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup.

Kohli, in the meantime, didn’t have a great day. He came into the tournament after scoring his maiden T20I century against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

In the first T20I, he came to bat at No.3 after Josh Hazlewood got the prized wicket of Rohit Sharma, who scored 11 off nine with one four and a six.

However, Kohli couldn’t survive for long and got out to fast bowler Nathan Ellis. The 33-year-old Kohli tried to hit Ellis down the ground, but failed to get proper timing. Cameron Green took a simple catch in the infield.

Kohli perished after scoring two runs off seven balls with India’s score at 35 for two in 4.5 overs.

Recently, Virat Kohli scored his first century after a gap of nearly three years. He also equalled Ricky Ponting’s tally of centuries in international cricket.

Of late, there have also been debates about Kohli’s batting position in the Indian team. Many reckoned that Kohli should keep opening the batting after how he played against Mohammad Nabi’s Afghanistan.
