The Indian Postal Department (India Post) has released the fifth merit list for recruitment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) on its official website. Those candidates who could not make it to the first four merit lists can download the fifth merit list of GDS recruitment by visiting the official website of India Post, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The merit list has been released for Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
How to check India Post GDS Result 2023:
Step 1 – Go to the official website of India Post, indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in.
Step 2 – Click on the ‘Merit List’ link on the homepage.
Step 3 – Select the State/Circle from where candidates have applied for GDS Recruitment 2023.
Step 4 – Download the result PDF for GDS Posts.
Step 5 – Find your roll number and name in the result in PDF format.
Indian Post is recruiting candidates for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS)/Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) in various post offices located in India. Till now, a total of 63726 candidates have been shortlisted in the four merit lists already released by India Post.
The merit list for the posts of GDS is prepared based only on the marks obtained in class 10 from approved boards. Candidates may note that no weightage will be given to higher education qualifications. For candidates having grades subject wise, marks will be calculated by applying the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the grade point.
To be eligible for the recruitment, the applicant must have a secondary school examination pass certificate of class 10 with English and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Applicants should fall between the age bracket of 18 to 40 years. The starting salary of India Post GDS is Rs 10,000 per month and the starting salary of Branch Post Master is Rs 14,500 per month.
