IND vs SA, 1st Test: No Spectators For Centurion Test Match Between India & South Africa!

New Delhi: Team India (IND) is currently on a tour of South Africa (SA), where it will play a three-Test match series starting December 26. The first match will be played at Centurion, for which the team has already reached there and has started with practice.

The South Africa Cricket Board (CSA) has made all the arrangements in view of the threat of the new Corona variant Omicron. For this, the CSA is constantly in touch with the BCCI. But fans have got a big blow before the match. Because of the Omicron threat, the South African Board has decided to have the first match without any spectators.

According to media reports, Cricket South Africa (CSA) has decided not to sell tickets for the first Test match because of the increasing number of Omicron cases.

Recently the South African government allowed 2,000 people in the stadium in adherence with the new Corona guidelines. But now this decision has been taken by the cricket board keeping in mind the safety of players. However, this decision is not yet taken with respect to other test matches. Future decisions will be taken only after assessing the situation.

When will test matches be played?

The first match of the three-match Test series between India and South Africa will be played in Centurion from December 26. The second match will be played in Johannesburg from January 3 and the third and final match will be played in Cape Town from January 11.
