India and Pakistan are scheduled to square off against each other on Sunday in the Super Four round of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. But the fans are worried about the weather in Colombo more than the game. Though a reserve day has been allocated for the face-off, the players and the spectators won’t want that to be utilized.

Ahead of the much-anticipated face-off, the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Dinesh Karthik have shared delightful news with the fans. Both of them have shared pictures of Colombo city on social media in which the weather looks pleasant, indicating a full-fledged game between India and Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

ACC keeps a reserve day for IND vs PAK match

The notorious Colombo weather prompted the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to keep a reserve day for the IND vs PAK game, assuring full action between the two teams.

“A reserve day has been incorporated for the Super11 Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India vs Pakistan scheduled to take place on 10th September 2023 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo,” the ACC said in an official statement.

“If adverse weather suspends play during the India vs Pakistan game, the match will continue on 11th September 2023 from the point it was suspended. In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets which will remain valid and will be utilised for the reserve day,” it added.
