PM’s visits will act as a sanjeevani for the ruling BJP
PM’s Himachal tours are being seen as a lifeline for the ruling BJP, as the model code of conduct can be imposed here anytime. If sources are to be believed, the ruling BJP is planning another rally in the PM’s Dharamsala before the model code of conduct is imposed.

There is also a discussion that even after the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Sirmaur on October 15, the model code of conduct may be imposed. If PM Modi’s official visit to Dharamsala on October 16 is fixed, then the model code of conduct is likely to be imposed only after that.

5 years ago, in the year 2017, the code of conduct came into force in Himachal on 12th October.
