Intoxicated by the game, a minor stole Rs 36 lakh from his mother’s account. It is learned that the accused is the son of a 17-year-old policeman. He stole a total of Rs 36 lakh from his mother’s two accounts for gaming.

Investigators from the Hyderabad police’s cyber department said the teenager downloaded a shooting game on his grandfather’s mobile phone. He was later accused of stealing Rs 1,500 for the in-app purchase of the game and Rs 10,000 for the second phase. Then gradually it became intoxicating for the boy. The accused boy is in class XI.

It is learned that the mother of the accused can find out the first thing when she goes to withdraw money from SBI. He had Rs 26 lakh in his SBI account. However, this whole money has been taken away without his knowledge. He then checked his account at HDFC Bank and found out that Tk 9 lakh had been withdrawn from there as well. The woman then approached the cyber department of the police. It is learned that the money of her late husband’s ‘benefit’ was deposited in these two accounts. The police then came to know that the woman’s son was behind the incident.
