Imran did not have any secret meeting with Pakistan army chief, PTI counter claimed

Benazir’s attack against former Pakistan Prime Minister and Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was made by ISI chief Lt. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed Anjum. He accused Imran of insulting the Pakistan Army and trying to use it unconstitutionally. Besides, he alleged that Imran held secret meetings with the Pakistan army chief to stay in power. PTI denied that allegation.

PML-N leader Mohsin Shahnawaz accused of attempted murder against Imran

Party leaders Asad Umar, Shah Mahmud Qureshi, Fawad Chowdhury and Shirin Mazari held a press conference and said that they did not have a secret meeting with the army chief. Moreover, Pak Army was not asked to do any unconstitutional act. Umar said, ‘The discussion with the Pakistan Army was not a secret. Because the conference was organized at that time.’ It may be noted that Nadeem claimed that Imran Khan held a secret meeting with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and made a lucrative offer last March to do unconstitutional work.

Allegedly, he made this offer to the Pakistan army chief to stay in power. But, the army chief rejected the offer. Because he did not want to do anything unconstitutional. He also said that Imran expressed unconstitutional wishes by holding a secret meeting with the army chief. But, he criticized the army chief for not supporting. This is a big contradiction between Imran’s words and deeds. The ISI chief called Imran a traitor.
