A young man reached the Jaipur court with coins worth Rs 55,000 in seven sacks. On the orders of the court, he had to give this amount for the maintenance of his wife. Seeing so many coins, the wife got angry and termed it as mental harassment. In response, the husband said – this is the valid currency of India, it should be accepted.

The court ordered the husband to get the coins counted and make bags of Rs 1,000 each and give them to the wife. The next hearing of the case is on June 26.

The weight of these pieces of coins was around 280 kg.  The court ordered the husband to count them and put them in bags of one thousand rupees each and hand them over to the wife.

The name of the young man who brought the coins is Dashrath Kumawat. His lawyer Raman Gupta told that Dashrath was married to Seema Kumawat about 10 years ago. Disputes started between the two only after 3-4 years of marriage. The husband filed for divorce in the court. The family court had directed the husband to pay Rs 5,000 as maintenance to the wife every month.

Advocate Raman Gupta further told that Dashrath was not giving this amount to his wife for the last 11 months. After this the court issued recovery warrant against him. Even after this, if he did not give the money, an arrest warrant was issued. The police arrested Dashrath and presented him in the court. He was granted bail on payment of money.
