The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has declared the examination dates for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2023. According to the latest updates, the Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted on December 2 and December 3. Those who are going to take up the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test 2023 will soon be able to access the complete examination schedule on the official website of BSEH at bseh.org.in.

According to Times of India, BSEH Chairman Dr VP Yadav recently announced that the Haryana Government has granted approval to conduct the HTET exam. The recruitment exam for the postgraduate teacher (PGT) post will be held on December 2, while the exam for the vacancy of primary teacher and trained graduate teacher will be conducted on December 3. The Board’s chairman further asserted that more than 1 lakh 87 thousand applicants had appeared in the HTET 2021 exam, whereas in 2022, over 3 lakh aspirants had sat for it.

The Haryana Board administration has commenced the preparations to administer the HTET 2023 exam. A few days before the recruitment test, the Haryana Board will release the admit cards for the HTET 2023 exam. Regarding the same, a separate notification will be posted on the main website.

HTET 2023: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the PGT exam, a candidate needs to have a B.Ed. or an equivalent degree from an accredited university with at least 50 per cent of the possible marks. For TGT test, however, a graduate degree in the relevant field and a BEd are prerequisites.

Candidates must also have completed senior high school with a minimum of 50 per cent of the possible marks or have successfully completed the last year of a two-year primary education certificate in compliance with National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) rules, 2007 for primary teachers.

HTET 2023: Exam Pattern

The HTET test is administered offline and applicants must mark their responses on an OMR sheet. Candidates must secure at least 60 per cent in the total test and at least 40 per cent in each paper in order to pass the HTET exam. The HTET certificate has an indefinite validity period.

The HTET is a state-level exam that is administered by the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH). The exam is held to determine the eligibility of applicants for the vacancies of teachers in government schools across the state.

It is important to note that the HTET exam is conducted for three levels:

–– Primary Teacher (PRT): For Classes 1 to 5.

––Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): For Classes 6 to 8.

––Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): For Classes 9 to 12.
