History created by making road: 75 km road built within 5 days, name added in Guinness World Record

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has created history by constructing 75 km of road in 105 hours and 33 minutes (within 5 days). NHAI created a Guinness World Record by producing 75 kms of bituminous concrete in single lane on Amravati to Akola section coming in NH-53 in record time. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari shared this information on Wednesday.

He said that the road has been prepared by 720 employees, which included a team of advisors. The team worked day and night. The total length of 75 km single lane bituminous concrete road is equivalent to 37.5 km two-lane paved road. The construction of the road, which started at around 7 am on June 3, was completed by 5 pm on June 7.

Nitin Gadkari congratulates the team of NHAI
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has congratulated NHAI on this achievement. He said that NHAI has created a Guinness World Record. During the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, NHAI has successfully completed the construction of 75 km continuous bituminous concrete road in single lane from Amravati to Akola.

25.275 KM record was made in 2019
Earlier, the Guinness World Record for bituminous road construction was set in February 2019 in Doha, Qatar. A road of 25.275 km was made here. It took 10 days to make it. The Amravati to Akola section is part of NH-53. It is an important East Corridor, connecting major cities like Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur and Surat.

Gadkari also congratulated all the engineers, contractors, consultants, workers of Raj Path Infracon Pvt Ltd who helped in successfully completing this world record.
