Himachal will take up the issue of border dispute with Ladakh and Haryana: State’s share in BBMB will be sought in the meeting of the Northern Zonal Council

Himachal Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh took an important meeting today in Jaipur, Rajasthan, ahead of the meeting of the Northern Zonal Council on July 9. In this, all those issues were discussed, which are to be raised in the meeting of the North Zonal Council in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

It is being told that Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will raise the issue of the ongoing border dispute with Ladakh and Haryana in the meeting of the North Zonal Council. Ladakh has made unauthorized occupations in some areas of Lahaul inflation. At the same time, Himachal has a long-standing border dispute with Pinjore of Haryana. Himachal is seeking a solution regarding this.

Himachal to take up the issue of stake in BBMB

The issue of cash payment of crores of Himachal’s share in Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) will also be raised in the meeting of the North Zonal Council. Although BBMB is returning the money to Himachal in the form of electricity after the orders of the Supreme Court, but the cash cash is not being paid. Therefore, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will also raise this issue in the meeting of the Northern Zonal Council.

The state would like a solution to the Pong displaced

The issue of Pong displaced will also be raised in the meeting of the North Regional Council, because after the construction of Pong dam for many years, dozens of families displaced are still stumbling from rate to rate and they have not been rehabilitated.

If sources are to be believed, discussion is also possible in the meeting of the North Zonal Council to create a collective task force and exchange of information for the purpose of curbing the inter-state drug trade. On Thursday, the Chief Secretary of the state held a detailed discussion with the secretaries of the concerned departments regarding all these issues.

Meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Home Minister

The meeting of the North Zonal Council is to be held under the chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah. It will also include the Chief Ministers of Himachal, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi, along with the Lieutenant Governors of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Chandigarh.
