When will the list of 22 remaining candidates of Himachal Pradesh Congress will finally come, this question is in everyone’s mind. The churning of tickets was going on for 46 days, yet the party was able to clear only 46 seats. Even today, the churning was going on in Delhi throughout the day. The ruling BJP has started campaigning by declaring all the candidates but the Congress is still embroiled in the ticket fight.

If sources are to be believed, Congress leaders have come face-to-face even today over ticket allocation in the ongoing meeting in Delhi. Congress party seems helpless and helpless without Virbhadra Singh. The helplessness is so much that without him the party is not able to decide the ticket itself.

Actually, the big leaders of the party are playing the numbers game, that is, there is a competition to get tickets for their loved ones to become the CM. Congress State President Pratibha Singh, Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri, Campaign Committee President Sukhwinder Sukhu are adamant on tickets to their respective supporters. Due to this the fixed tickets were also put on hold.

The first meeting of PCC was held on 5th September

Let us inform that the churning of tickets is going on for 46 days from Shimla to Delhi. The first meeting of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) was held on 5 September. After this, the Screening Committee and Center Election Committee have held several rounds of meetings from time to time, but the party was able to clear only 46 tickets out of 68. 22 seats are stuck. Surprisingly, now even 3 days have passed since the filing of nominations.

Apart from today and tomorrow, only October 25 is left for nomination, while 2 days are taken by the candidates to complete the formalities of filing nominations, yet there is a delay in fielding candidates for 22 seats. When Congress leaders should campaign in their respective constituencies, ticket fans and all the big leaders of the state Congress are camping in Delhi.

3 seats on hold due to opposition from Young Brigade

It is worth noting that due to the opposition of Young Brigade, the sitting MLA of Kinnaur Jagat Singh Negi and former minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri have been holding tickets from Bharmour. Similarly, the ticket of Sarkaghat was also not issued in the first list due to the protest of the youth.

Youth Congress President Negi Nigam Bhandari from Kinnaur Assembly, Youth Congress General Secretary Surjit Bharmouri from Bharmour and Yudopati Thakur, Working President of Youth Congress from Sarkaghat are seeking tickets. At the same time, Rangeela Rama Rao has warned to leave the party if the ticket is not available in Sarkaghat. The third contender here is Pawan Thakur of Sukhu faction, who also contested the 2017 election on a party ticket.
