This is the first agricultural university in India. Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University: It is a Central University, established in 1973, located in Srinagar in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand in Northern India. For admission here, it is mandatory to qualify for JEE Mains after passing 12th.

Kumaun University: Kumaun University is a state university whose headquarters are in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. The academic wing of the university is spread over two campuses (Dev Singh Bisht (DSB) Campus, Nainital, and the newly constructed Sir JC Bose Technical Campus at Bhimtal).
