Here’s why Samsung paused the rollout of One UI 4.0 – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Samsung started rolling out Android 12-based One UI 4 recently for its flagship smartphones. Now the South Korean tech giant has once again paused the rollout on One UI 4.0 for Galaxy S21 series.
Samsung is one of the first smartphone makers that started the rollout of Android 12. But the company has to halt the rollout due to some issue with the Google Play system. Recently, Samsung was also forced to pause the update for its flagship Z series phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Now an online report by Tizen Help suggests that Samsung has confirmed the issues with multiple devices with Google Play compatibility post One UI 4.0 update on the Galaxy S21 series. The report also adds that Samsung is working on a fix for the issue and is soon expected to resume the update.
Meanwhile, another online report revealed that Samsung has started working on the One UI 4.1 update and it is expected release early next year. Quoting a Samsung Members forum moderator, the report adds that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will come pre-loaded with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update. Along with this, the newer version of the One UI is also expected to be released for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20, and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in February 2022.
The report also suggests that the smartphone maker is said to roll out One UI 4.1 update for mid and entry-level smartphones later next year. Samsung has also not yet revealed the features of the One UI 4.1 update
