Shimla in Himachal Pradesh received heavy snowfall on Saturday.

There is heavy snowfall in three states of the country. 7 districts of Himachal Pradesh are in the grip of cold wave. Due to heavy snowfall in the state, 380 roads including 3-NH have been closed. Lahaul Spiti district has been affected the most. 182 roads are closed here. Shimla’s maximum temperature dropped from 13 degrees to 4 degrees Celsius.

At the same time, traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway came to a standstill due to snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. The Meteorological Department has issued a snowfall alert here till January 30. On the other hand, roads have been closed due to snowfall in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. On the other hand, the Gangotri temple in Uttarkashi is completely covered with snow.

What next: Chances of rain from 23 to 26
The hill states received snowfall and light rain on Friday under the influence of Western Disturbance. According to the Meteorological Department, this process can continue from 23 to 26 January. There may be snowfall in the mountains on 24-25 January. After this the cold is likely to increase further.
