So far, more than 5.50 lakh acres of crops have come under the grip of flood in 12 districts of Haryana.

Out of the 12 flood affected districts of Haryana, the water level of rivers, canals and drains is decreasing in 10 districts. The water level of Yamuna river has decreased by 2 feet in Palwal. At the same time, the Ghaggar river is continuously wreaking havoc in two districts.

The river dam broke at three places near Mirpur and Saharan in Sirsa. Due to this water spread in 5000 acres of crops in 16 more villages. In 48 hours, the dam of the river has been broken at 6 places. Due to this, crops of more than 8 thousand acres of total 24 villages have been submerged. People from many villages have also started migrating.

Heavy rain warning in 4 districts today
Monsoon has again become active in Haryana from today. The Chandigarh Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in all 22 districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued heavy rain warnings in four districts of North Haryana, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra.

Army called in Fatehabad
About 69 thousand acres of crops in 79 villages of Tohana, Jakhal, Ratia areas have been destroyed due to overflowing of Ghaggar water in Fatehabad. There was water-logging outside the godowns of Hafed in Jakhal Mandi. Now the water is moving towards Fatehabad. It reached the bypass of the city by late night. The administration has called 4 pieces of the army for the rescue. Army’s engineering and health teams have also been called.

33 deaths in the state so far
5,917 people were rescued from the flood, 46,221 were given relief material. The flood water reached 87 more villages in 24 hours. Rescued 518 more people. Of these, 358 have been sent to camps. A total of 1298 villages have been affected by the flood. Rescued 5,917 people. 2852 people are living in 37 camps. Relief material was given to 46,221. There have been 33 deaths due to rain-flood, lightning.

These 12 districts are still flood affected
Ambala, Fatehabad, Faridabad, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Panchkula, Palwal, Sirsa, Sonepat, Yamunanagar districts of Haryana are affected by the flood. More than 5.50 lakh acres of crops have been damaged. NDRF teams have been deployed in Ambala, Faridabad, Fatehabad, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar for relief and rescue. Army also had to be called in Ambala, Kaithal, Yamunanagar.
