The Heathrow airport in the UK is one of the busiest airports in the world. Now imagine if that busy place has a major technical glitch in its baggage processing system! Well, no need to imagine it because this nightmare became true for several passengers flying through or to Heathrow airport.

On Saturday, the airport baggage system in Terminal 2 faced a major technical snag resulting in the confusion. Hundreds of trolleys and suitcases were lined up on the terminal floor as the airport staff tried to sort out the bags according to the names of the passengers.

Annoyed with the unnecessary delay, several people took to Twitter to share photos and videos of the snag. The sea of luggage is something that you need to see to believe.

According to a report by the BBC, a spokesperson for Heathrow airport apologised for the chaos and the delay. “Earlier today there was a technical issue with the Terminal 2 baggage system which has now been resolved. Passengers are now able to check-in as normal, but a number of passengers who departed from Terminal 2 earlier today may have travelled without their luggage. We are working closely with airlines to reunite passengers with their luggage as soon as possible. We’re sorry there’s been disruption to passenger journeys,” she stated.
