The petition of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim will be heard in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Ram Rahim has protested against the withdrawal of the investigation of the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib from the CBI. In the last hearing, the lawyer of the dera had argued for 2 hours. Dera Mukhi is currently serving a sentence for serious crimes in Rohtak’s Sunari Jail. The SIT of Punjab Police recently prepared the report, in which Ram Rahim has been termed as the mastermind of the sacrilege conspiracy.
CM Bhagwant Mann submitted 467 page report of SIT investigation to Sikh leaders. In which it was said that a conspiracy of sacrilege was hatched when the MSG movie was not released. Whose mastermind is Ram Rahim.
Earlier SIT had investigation
In the year 2015, there were many cases of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Punjab. For whose investigation the then Akali-BJP government had formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT). After this the investigation went to the CBI. Later the government changed. When the Congress came to power, the investigation was withdrawn from the CBI by passing a resolution in the assembly under the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
SIT told Ram Rahim to be the mastermind
The SIT of Punjab Police recently prepared the investigation report of the sacrilege case. In which Ram Rahim has been described as the mastermind of sacrilege. The SIT claims that the entire conspiracy was hatched in Sirsa, the headquarters of Dera Sacha Sauda. A conspiracy of sacrilege was hatched in protest against the non-release of Ram Rahim’s film Messenger of God (MSG).
Ram Rahim’s lawyer gave these arguments
Ram Rahim argued in the High Court that on the statement of one of the accused, he was named in the sacrilege case. Then their production warrants were also issued. However, on the orders of the High Court, the new SIT of Punjab Police went to Sunaria Jail and interrogated him. Dera Mukhi said that he is being deliberately implicated in this case. Therefore, it is necessary to have a CBI inquiry into the case. For political interest, the investigation was handed over from the CBI to the SIT. At the same time, the Punjab government called it an abuse of the legal process. The government said that the approval of the Supreme Court and the High Court has also been approved on the proposal of the assembly. This petition should be dismissed.
