The BJP has changed its strategy after the opposition of the government in front of CM Manohar Lal Khattar in the public dialogue program in Haryana. Now the ministers of the Haryana government will also go to the field and hold public talks. The CM should not have to face the consequences of the ministers’ actions, so now he too will have to ‘face the truth’.

Not only this, the organization will also enter the fray in defense of the government. Apart from Haryana BJP President OP Dhankhar, other party functionaries will also meet people and listen to complaints so that anti-incumbency atmosphere is not allowed to be created against the party.

First know… Why is BJP in tension in Haryana?

There are 2 reasons for this…

First… BJP is in power in Haryana for 10 years. There are a total of 90 assembly seats in the state. In 2014, the BJP single-handedly formed the government by winning 47 seats. The BJP did not get a majority in the 2019 assembly elections. The BJP was reduced to 40 seats. The result was that then an alliance had to be made with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), which was formed 10 months ago. At present this coalition government is running. If the command of power is in the hands of the BJP, then the voter’s displeasure and the challenge of winning is for the BJP only. Assembly elections are due in Haryana next year.

Second… There are Lok Sabha elections in the country next year after 11 months. Haryana has 10 Lok Sabha seats. BJP won all the seats in 2019 elections. This time the challenge before the BJP is to save all the seats. If we lose the seats, in the eyes of the high command, the stature of the government and the organization will decrease. In such a situation, his political career in BJP will be in danger. In such a situation, the BJP, which won all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana last time, is constantly changing its strategy.

BJP’s strategy to deal with anti-incumbency

1. CM will spend night in villages
CM Manohar Lal has done public dialogues in Palwal, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra and Sirsa. Here he used to listen to the difficulties of the people during the day. Now the strategy has changed. It will be taken ahead of the government program and brought closer to the people. For this, CM will stay in the village even at night. It will start from Mahendragarh district. Where CM Manohar will do public dialogue from 24 to 26 May.

2. Minister will go to 4 to 5 villages
It has been decided for the ministers that they will visit 4 to 5 villages in a day. Will meet the villagers there. Will listen to their complaints and suggestions. Then we will get him away from the government officials. The MLAs have also been given the task that if they want to win the next time, they should come out in the field and reduce the distance from the public so that the party can also benefit from it.

3. Focus on rural areas
BJP has good strength in urban areas, but the challenge is in rural areas. BJP wants to strengthen it in Haryana. Especially, after the farmer’s movement against the agricultural laws, BJP wants to remove the resentment from the farmers. Farmers are still alienated from BJP. This was the reason why BJP could not fight on the symbol of the party in Zilla Parishad elections.

Ministers used to hold closed room meetings, only Vij used to hold Janata Darbar
If we talk about the direct communication of the ministers of the Haryana government with the public, it was almost non-existent except for Home Minister Anil Vij. Ministers used to attend meetings of Grievances Committees only. Used to go to Chandigarh after meeting with the officers in a closed room. The ministers were confined to their leaders and workers only.

Although Anil Vij used to hold an open court for the entire state in Ambala. But, when CM Manohar started a public dialogue, Vij stopped it. Now the complainants reach at his house, which he settles.

Party making public dialogue positive
In fact, open protest is taking place in the public dialogue of CM Manohar Lal. Somewhere there was a ruckus due to his comment about the judge, and somewhere the woman sarpanch threw the chunni of his head at his feet. BJP was considering it as a game changer move before the elections but it gave an opportunity to the opponents to be aggressive. Opponents directly started attacking the CM. Started raising questions on the language of the CM. Now BJP only wants to remove the CM from the focus by conducting a public dialogue with the ministers to defeat the opponents.

BJP’s bet backfires in Haryana: CM has to face opposition in public dialogue; Opponents are getting issues while sitting

The BJP’s strategy of getting CM Manohar Lal Khattar to conduct a ‘public dialogue’ ahead of the Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Haryana has come under question. The reason for this is the recent controversy in Sirsa. In which a woman sarpanch took out a scarf from her head and threw it at the feet of the CM.
