Haryana has become the first state in the country to implement Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). After the success of the pilot project in Sirsa-Kurukshetra, now the government is going to start yellow ration cards across the state through this scheme. Maharashtra has also shown interest in this PPP card of Haryana.

The Haryana government has caught 37 lakh fake transaction cases thanks to the family identity card. In about 150 schemes, these people were taking benefits of schemes in a wrong way. The government has saved Rs 1,200 crore on the exclusion of ineligible people from the scheme.

Yellow ration card being made from PPP
CM Manohar Lal said that yellow ration cards are also being made from family identity cards. The government has made ration cards through PPP on pilot basis in Sirsa and Kurukshetra, soon this system will be implemented in the entire state. With this, the ration card of the eligible persons will be made according to the income verified in the PPP.

70 lakh families registered
About 70 lakh families and 2.60 crore members have been registered on the PPP portal. Ration card, old age pension, caste certificate, birth certificate and income certificate are also being made through PPP. Haryana government is also emphasizing on Aadhaar registration of children of 0-5 years.

Controversy over 4.5 lakh old age pension deduction
So far 4.5 lakh old age pension has been deducted from PPP card. There is a lot of controversy in the state on this. Former Haryana CM Bhupendra Hooda has even said that if Congress comes to power, not only will the pension of the elderly be restored, but the family identity card will be abolished. Apart from this, social worker Naveen Jaihind is also openly opposing the cut pensions.
