Haryana beats Punjab, Delhi, Himachal: 22% growth in GST collection; Union Finance Ministry released the list, CM said – remarkable work

Haryana has overtaken Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan in GST collection growth. In the data released by the Union Finance Ministry, Haryana has registered a growth of 22 percent. Where the GST collection of the state was 8,197 crores in the year 2022, it has increased to 10,035 crores in the year 2023.

If we compare Haryana with neighboring states in relation to GST collection, then Haryana’s growth rate is higher than Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan.

CM said- Haryana is among the leading states in economic development
Expressing happiness over the figures released by the Government of India, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that Haryana has made remarkable progress in GST collection, which shows the progress of the state. He said that Haryana is one of the leading states on the parameters of economic development. The state government is giving importance to big industries as well as micro, small and medium industries.

The state government has improved power availability and connectivity to promote industries. A network of roads and railways is spread across the state.

Haryana is developing as a logistics hub
CM Manohar Lal said that the GST system implemented on the concept of one country-one tax in the country is very effective. Simplification of GST process has not only benefited the entrepreneurs, but also increasing the revenue of the government. The Chief Minister said that more than half of Haryana falls in the National Capital Region, which the state government is developing as a logistics hub.

This will increase immense possibilities of investment in the state. He said that emphasis is being laid on creating quality infrastructure, ensuring ease of doing business and creating an industry-friendly environment in the state.
