Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh was delighted to see Virat Kohli and Babar Azam showing mutual respect and admiration for each other. On Thursday, July 14, the 33-year-old got out for 16 in the second ODI against England at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

After Virat perished to left-arm pacer David Willey, Babar dropped a tweet, showing his support for the former Indian skipper. Babar took to Twitter and wrote, “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli.”

Thereafter, Kohli thanked Babar for backing him amidst the poor run of form. Kohli replied to Babar and wrote, “Thank you. Keep shining and rising. Wish you all the best.”

Harbhajan was happy to see Virat and Babar tweeting for each other. The former spinner took to Twitter and wrote, “So good to see this .. from one Champion to Another well done @babarazam258 @imVkohli.”

Kohli has been going through a rough patch in his career. Since November 2019, Kohli hasn’t scored a single century at the highest level. Even in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kohli failed to score consistently for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), captained by Faf du Plessis.

Kohli is now set to play in the third and final ODI against Jos Buttler’s Three Lions on Sunday, July 17 at Old Trafford in Manchester. It remains to be seen if the Delhi-born batter can get a big score under his belt.

Kohli has scored runs at an average of 50 in ODIs at Manchester with two half-centuries to his name.
