Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray on Monday surrounded the RSS-BJP on the issue of Hindutva. He said that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat went to the mosque, so did he leave Hindutva? When BJP allied with PDP, did they give up Hindutva? Whatever they do is right and when we do something, we leave Hindutva, it is not right.

During the discussion with the media on the birth anniversary of Bal Thackeray on Monday, Uddhav also took a dig at the current Shinde government of Maharashtra. He said- Till now there has been no announcement of elections in Maharashtra. I want to challenge the anti-nationals (Shinde faction) to hold elections… If they (Shiv Sena, Shinde faction and BJP) have guts then they should announce elections.

The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena has forged an alliance with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, the party of Dr BR Ambedkar’s grandson Prakash Ambedkar.

Uddhav also said on this occasion-

  • My grandfather Keshav Thackeray, also known as Prabodhankar Thackeray. He and Prakash Ambedkar’s grandfather and Dr. BR Ambedkar were contemporaries. Both of them admired each other and worked to eradicate social evils and malpractices.
  • The country is moving towards autocracy. There are some bad practices in politics now and to end them, the successors of these two leaders and the people around them are coming together to keep the country’s interest and democracy alive.

Alliance will bring a new change in Maharashtra politics: Prakash Ambedkar
On the other hand, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar said that the alliance of Shiv Sena (UBT) and VBA on the birth anniversary of Balasaheb Thackeray would bring a new change in Maharashtra politics. This step will change the political equation. There have been instances where some parties tried to reduce and eliminate their allies, but it is up to the people to decide the victory of a political party. No one can change this democratic process of our country.
