Everyone in Bhuthankalan village of Fatehabad district is shocked by the sudden death of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat. Sonali was a resident of this village. There is a wave of mourning in the whole village due to this news. Sonali Phogat has two brothers and two sisters. Both his brothers live in Bhuthankalan village and shop for jewelery here.
The family got the information of Sonali’s death at 8 am on Tuesday. Soon after, Sonali’s cousin Rinku left for New Delhi with three or four people from the same village. From there he will take a flight to Goa. According to the family, after completing the post-mortem and police action in Goa, Rinku will reach Hisar directly with Sonali’s body. He is expected to reach Hisar by Tuesday night.
Sonali will be cremated on Wednesday in Hisar itself. Other relatives also started reaching home. Sonali’s brother Watan Dhaka told that he had spoken to Sonali only on Monday night. He couldn’t believe it was the last conversation he had with his sister. Sonali’s voice will never be heard again.

Many people in Sonali’s village raised questions on her sudden death. Negotiations on the same issue were going on at the village chaupal. Bhup Singh, who was a class senior to Sonali in the school, was also found sitting at the chaupal. Bhup Singh told that from school time, Sonali was interested in art world and politics. Bhup Singh claimed that Sonali’s death was not natural. He has been killed. At the age of 42, the matter of heart attack was not digested. There should be a CBI inquiry into this whole matter.

Whenever Sonali Phogat used to come to Bhuthankalan village, she used to meet people openly here. After becoming active in politics in 2019, his interaction with people increased even more. Sonali used to come to Bhuthankalan after every 15-20 days. She was undoubtedly active in politics from Adampur, but along with listening to the problems of her villagers, Sonali was always ahead in getting the government and district administration officials to solve them. Mahendra Singh, the outgoing sarpanch of Bhuthankalan, told that there was a problem of water workers in the village and there was no staff in the school. Sonali removed both these problems.

Ramesh Takhar, Dalbir Singh and Ram Singh, sitting at the village chaupal, said that Sonali Phogat was the daughter of their village. The whole village is sad and shocked by his death like this. In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, when Sonali contested from Adampur seat of Hisar on a BJP ticket, the people of the entire village went to that area to campaign for her. It is a different matter that then Sonali lost to Kuldeep Bishnoi, who was contesting on Congress ticket.
