LUDHIANA: The candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party from Ludhiana West constituency, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, has expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the city.
Grewal addressed the residents of Punjab Mata Nagar during a meeting organised by Youth Akali From the leader Tanveer Singh Dhaliwal.
During the meeting, where residents highlighted the issues being faced by them, Grewal also stressed that the law and order situation in the state is getting worse under the governance of Congress government. He assured the people that the SAD-BSP government would improve the situation.
Grewal added the Congress government had politicized the police department and today the situation is such that the police officers could not take any action without the orders of the supercrats in the ruling party. “But the SAD-BSP government will not allow this to happen,” he added.
Grewal alleged that the congress government, heading the state, had failed on all fronts. “This congress government has not only failed to provide better law and order but also the basic facilities to the people,” he said.
Grewal also met the residents of Jawahar Nagar where the residents raised the issue of drugs being sold openly in the area.
The residents requested Grewal to curb the menace of drugs and Grewal also assured them that the SAD-BSP government will definitely put a full stop on the smuggling of drugs.
He added that people of Punjab are upset with the wrong policies of the present government and now they are looking forward to bring SAD-BSP party in power in the state so that Punjab could once again move forward on the path of progress. Grewal thanked the residents of west constituency for assuring support to him.
