The government will not be limited to police action in road accidents in Punjab. Now the reason for this will also be investigated. In which the report of bad road engineering will be prepared. Then IIT Madras will suggest ways to fix it. Which the government will implement on the road. For this, the Punjab Integrated Road Accident Database (IRAD) has been linked. Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar has started this. Earlier, the police used to register a case when there was a road accident. Accidents keep happening at the same place due to lack of reason. It used to become a black spot in terms of road accident.

Project will work in 3 steps

1. It is a mobile app based system. Wherever there is an accident, the police will record its details through photos and videos in the app. Which will create a unique ID of that place.

2. After this, the engineer of the Public Works Department or the Local Government Department will get an alert on the mobile app according to the area. He will go to the spot and update the necessary things in the app besides the road structure.

3. Then this details will reach the team of IIT Madras. She will see how the fault of the road there i.e. road engineering can be fixed?. It will send suggestions to the government and the same will be implemented at that place to prevent accidents.
