Google Pixel 8a Retail Packaging Leaked – Here’s What The New Mid-Ranger Could Look Like – News18

Google Pixel 8a is going to replace the Pixel 7a when it launches later this year.

Google Pixel 8a could be reminiscent of the Pixel 8 in terms of design, featuring a dual-camera setup and more. Here are all the details.

Google’s Pixel a series lineup is a good example of how you don’t need the latest and greatest specifications to provide a decent experience, particularly when it comes to cameras. That said, it has already been a while since the Pixel 7a came out, and with just a few months until Google I/O 2024, new information about the Pixel 8a has emerged

The most recent leaked images of the Pixel 8a’s retail packaging by a Google News group provide a potential glimpse into the appearance of Google’s upcoming mid-range device. These leaks, originating from Vietnam, unveil a design strongly reminiscent of the rounded-off aesthetics featured in the flagship Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which were launched in October last year. Additionally, the images showcase the device in a black colourway, possibly to be named Obsidian.

In addition to the colour, the Pixel 8a could feature a dual-camera setup reminiscent of the Pixel 7a. This setup suggests the inclusion of both a wide and an ultra-wide lens. As for specifications, the Pixel 8a is likely to be powered by the Tensor G3, Google’s third-generation in-house mobile chipset, the same chipset behind the Pixel 8 lineup.

It isn’t clear as to when the device will launch, but if the past is any indication, Google typically unveils its Pixel a series devices around May, coinciding with the Google I/O event. The Pixel 6a, for instance, was introduced in May 2021. Therefore, it’s plausible that we might see the launch of the Pixel 8a within a similar timeframe.
