Goods train derailed in Bihar’s Buxar on Sunday. 3 bogies of goods train derailed near Dumraon station on Danapur-PDDU railway section. The accident happened at 12 noon. After this the movement of trains stopped on the down line. Trains bound for places like Patna, Bhagalpur, Barauni etc. remained halted at various stations. Later the down line was cleared at around 4.15 pm. After which the movement of trains started.

Explain that eight wheels of three wagons of the goods train were derailed. Due to the low speed of the goods train, a major accident was averted. As soon as the information was received, the officers of Danapur Division reached the spot. The work of repairing the railway route was started.

5 trains including Magadh got stuck

Due to the accident, 5 trains were stuck at different stations.

1. 22947 Surat-Bhagalpur Express is halted at Baruna station.
2. 03204 Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay-Patna Passenger Special is stranded at Chausa.
3. 19483 Ahmedabad – Barauni Express is at Chausa.
4. 20802 New Delhi-Islampur Magadh Express is halted at Dildarnagar.
5. 03650 Banaras-Buxar Passenger Special is stranded at Darauli.

Accident while coming from main line to loop line
The goods train was going towards Danapur from Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay station. Meanwhile, it was being taken from the main line to the loop line. Meanwhile, three wagons of the goods train got derailed due to brake banding of a wagon of the engine near Dumraon station. The driver and guard informed the control room about the incident. After getting the information, there was chaos. Many officers including Dumrao Station Superintendent were present on the occasion.
