Goa election 2022: 2 lakh jobs in private sector possible with good industrial policies, says TMC | Goa News – Times of India

PANAJI: TMC on Monday insisted that it is possible to create over two lakh jobs in the private sector for locals over the next five years. The party said that by providing industries with supportive policies and simplified norms, the private sector can be encouraged to keep aside 80% of jobs for locals.
Its Rajya Sabha MP and national vice-president Luizinho Faleiro said TMC will create a support system for Goan industries to encourage them to recruit Goans in the private sector.
Faleiro said that more than 16,000 MSMEs have shut down in Goa after the Centre’s demonetisation exercise. “Industries that were running lucratively have suffered heavy losses. At least 2.5 lakh Goan livelihoods were affected after mining was banned. Since then, the state’s unemployed youth are migrating because the government failed to create opportunities for them,” he said.
Goa TMC vice-president Rajendra Kakodkar said the party guarantees the resumption of sustainable mining, creation of 10,000 government jobs, and economic stability. “We will make sure Goa, which ranks as the fourth-worst state in ease of doing business, stands among India’s top 10
Meanwhile, TMC Rajya Sabha MP and Goa co-incharge Sushmita Dev said the party’s manifesto focuses on empowering women. “We will give 50% reservation to women in municipal body elections. Around 10,000 jobs remain vacant in the government,” said Dev.
She also said that the creation of two fast-track courts in Goa, one in each district, will help speed up prosecution of crimes against women.
