Night out festival for school girls has started at Muvattupuzha Town in Ernakulam, Kerala. The purpose of this four-day festival is to motivate girls to come out with courage even at night.
The festival included food stalls, festive lighting, live music performances, zumba dance and training and marathon races for girls, so that girls could come out of their homes at night to prepare and enjoy their night life activities. .

According to media reports, not only girls and women participated in this campaign, but their parents also appreciated this effort. A girl’s mother said that girls and women should have the freedom to go out at night, whether they are going to work or meeting friends.
Girls also organized fundraiser
Apart from these programmes, the students of St. Augustine’s Girls Higher Secondary School also organized a fundraiser for the treatment of the father of one of their classmates. For this, he set up a food stall and organized a music night. The girls said that it is only night, because of this we should stay away from the things of our choice, it is not right. Girls and women have rights, but they do not have the confidence to go out at night. It is necessary to change it.
Kuzhalandan said that girls should not be imprisoned. When we cut the youth away from the night life, they turn to drugs to bring excitement to life behind closed doors. That’s why we need to open up. We need to be liberal.
