A 23-year-old girl was murdered after a gang rape on June 29, about 4 months ago, in the Bareilly-Aligarh passenger. The girl’s body was found in the Divyang coach of the train that reached Chandausi railway station. 4 people including Bareilly GRP constable were involved in rape and murder. All four were arrested by the GRP on November 4 and sent to jail. The soldier was suspended. Today i.e. on Monday, Chandausi of the four accused was presented before the CJM. The court has given permission to take DNA samples of the four accused.
SP GRP Aparna Gupta said that during the postmortem, the slide of the girl was prepared in the apprehension of rape. The slide test confirmed rape. Along with the murder, the police have also increased the sections of gang rape. Initially, the case of murder of the girl was registered in unknown by Chandausi GRP. But, on the basis of the suspicion of the CDR and the family, the police was able to reach the GRP constable and the other 3 accused involved in the incident.

The girl had an affair with a GRP soldier
The 4 accused against whom the case has been registered are constable Neeraj Kumar of Bareilly GRP, SR Rajput alias Sheeshram, a resident of Shahjahanpur working in a private company of Bareilly, Awadhesh Kumar of Aligarh and Ishtiaq Ahmed, a carpenter from Bareilly. Investigation revealed that the girl’s affair was going on with GRP constable Neeraj. Raising suspicion on SR Rajput, the family filed a murder case.

Two accused used to work with the girl in the same company
A 23-year-old girl lived in a village in Aligarh. His father works as a laborer. The girl used to work in a private company in Bareilly. She lived in Bareilly and often traveled to and from Aligarh by train. Along with him, SR Rajput and Awadhesh also used to work in the same company. SR Rajput is also a resident of Aligarh. Ishtiaq, a resident of Bareilly, was also a friend of the girl. He works as a carpenter. On June 29 too, the girl was going to Bareilly after the duty was completed.
The train started from Bareilly and then stopped at Chandausi station. There some women opened the door of the disabled coach and started going inside. His scream came out as soon as he entered. The reason being that the whole coach was empty and one girl was lying unconscious. Hearing the noise of the women, the GRP reached the spot. Also doctors were called. When the doctors examined, it was found that the girl had died.
The family had expressed doubt on SR Rajput
The incident was reported to the girl’s family members. After receiving the news of the daughter’s death, the family had earlier lodged a complaint expressing suspicion on SR Rajput and others. After this, on the basis of CDR, constable Neeraj Kumar of Bareilly GRP, SR Rajput alias Sheeshram, resident of Shahjahanpur, working in a private company of Bareilly, Awadhesh Kumar of Aligarh and Ishtiaq Ahmed were made accused.
Slide samples will be matched with DNA test
SP GRP Aparna Gupta said that the accused have been arrested on the basis of CDR. Seams are found in the slide. A DNA test will be conducted to identify the accused of raping the girl. Samples of all the four accused will be taken for investigation.
