Ghulam Nabi Azad’s autobiography ‘Azad’ will be released today in Delhi. Congress leader and former Union Minister Karan Singh will launch it. Azad broke away from the Congress last year to form the Democratic Progressive Azad Party. In this book, he has mentioned his political experiences of 55 years.

A day before the launch of the book i.e. on Tuesday, Ghulam Nabi had made a scathing statement on the Congress leaders. He has made serious allegations against senior Congress leaders like Jairam Ramesh and Salman Khurshid regarding political and ideological conflict. Apart from this, Azad also praised PM Modi.

What did the prophet say? Read in sequence…

Modi did not act with a sense of revenge
Azad said in a conversation with news agency ANI on Tuesday – what I did to the Prime Minister, and the way he treated me. Modi should be given credit for this. He is very generous. As the leader of the opposition, I did not spare her on any issue, be it Article 370, CAA or Hijab issue. Despite this, Modi never acted with a sense of revenge. He always behaved like a soft hearted politician.

This picture is of 9 February 2021, when Ghulam Nabi Azad’s term from Rajya Sabha was coming to an end. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also got emotional in his farewell speech.

Jairam Ramesh did not participate in the dharna of the opposition.
In the autobiography, Azad has revealed that Home Minister Amit Shah announced the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in the Rajya Sabha. He divided Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories. Opposition leaders staged a sit-in against this. Congress media incharge Jairam Ramesh did not come in this. Then he was the chief whip of the party in the Rajya Sabha.

Azad writes on page 251 of the book – When Amit Shah announced the removal of Article 370, I threw my ear phone and went to the Well to protest and sat on a dharna. I also called the leaders of the opposition there, but you would be surprised to know that Jairam Ramesh sat alone on his seat and did not participate in the dharna.

salman khurshid only registers twitter presence
Jairam Ramesh is not the only one who has been a victim of Azad’s displeasure, Salman Khurshid is also included in these. Salman raised questions on Azad’s role in G-23. In a chapter titled The Grand Old Party: Bloopers and Bombshells, Azad explains why he and other Congress leaders questioned the leadership in August 2020.

According to Azad, at that time Khurshid and some other leaders had termed him as a rebel united for a cause. Apart from rebels, the leaders of G-23 were also called traitors and fugitives. According to Azad, today I want to tell those leaders that we have never got back what we have given to this party.

There are some people in the Congress who took undue advantage of their position and did not give anything to the party in return. These people kept registering their presence only on Twitter.

Fools who tell G-23 BJP’s mask against Congress

G-23 was a mask of BJP against Congress. Azad called those who made such allegations fools. Azad said- If G23 was the spokesperson of BJP then why did Congress make him MP? Why has he been made MP, general secretary and office bearer? I am the only one who has formed the party. The rest are still there. The allegations of being a BJP spokesperson are childish and baseless. Their aim is only to create hatred.
